Beach 2008

Marc Jacobs is one of my favorite designers. Last time I was at the Marc by Marc Jacobs store in Greenwich I picked up this bag and flipflops....both perfect for a breach trip this summer!

Shopping =)

Today was the last day of class and now I am finally on my summer break! After the final I went down to Soho to buy some stuff for the family back in Sweden...but of course I couldn't resist to buy myself a little something ;)

Coldplay concert

Yesterday me and hubby went to see Coldplay..hubby had won tickets to their free concert at Madison Square Garden. It was an amazing night (except for the DJ that "played" before the band went on stage...30 minutes of weird music mixed with equally weird matching video. But hey, atleast that made Coldplay sound even better!).

This was the first concert in the US for Coldplay with their new album Viva La Vida, and the new album is really amazing!
The highlight of the night was when the band played two songs in the middle of the audience...

The new Prada shoe

Prada's shoes really caught my eye when looking through the runway shows for fall this year.  These shoes will make even the ugliest dress look fashionable!

Chanel auction!

I stumbled upon the best website today, "ebay" for luxury handbags! Right now they are having a special Chanel auction were you can bid on bags in different quality and price range...me like ;)
Plus Portero is certified site (which basically means u will get a Chanel bag and not a Channele, that they sell on the corner of 42 and Broadway)

Lagerfeld like u never seen him!

When someone can make a bright yellow road vest look this cool, you belong in the fashion biz....

New Jewelry Line

The Olsen twins are adding a jewelry collection to their brand "Elizabeth and James", they have worked with Robert Lee Morris (who has names such as Lagerfeld and Donna Karan on his resume) so here is for hoping!

The "Sex and the City" belt

Last week I went to see the Sex and the City movie and it was not disappointing! It was great seeing the movie in Manhattan with a theater full of women...and of course a few supporting husbands. Not only was the movie amazing, so was the fashion in it! One of my favorites were the belt worn by Carrie. I found my own version at Zara this weekend...also got a summer dress that has the ethnic and Balenciaga feel...gotta love it!

My new Bible!

My lovely friends bought this magazine back from France for me and I just love it! It is a must have for all fashionista's with great photos from all important fashion shows and even good pics on bags and shoes...

Promoparty

Last night hubby and I were invited to Essense and Toyotas promoparty down in Chelsea. I also invited my Swedish friend Martin that just moved to the city to work at the swedish resturant Aquavit.

The event started out like all perfect parties should...with free alcohol;) Then there was a fashion show by Ghita (the desginer behind the brand is Kanyee West ex), her fall line was cool but the spring line not as impressive. The one shocking thing was that one of the models wore ballerina flats...comfortable for the model, but should runway shows be comfortable or fashionable?
Although it was fun to see some familiar faces on the runway show, two of the ex contestant from America's Next Top Model were there working the runway...fun to see that they actually get booked after the show.
A little later in the evening Keisha Cole performed, eventhough she just sang two songs she did them perfectly. But as the fashion student I am I couldn't help noticing how her dress had been badely draped with needles to fit her!
We met some cool people at the event, and of them even introduced my friend Martin to some models...best wing man ever! After the party we went down to the meat packing distric to have a late dinner at Marcus Samuelssons latest resturant Merkato.

It was a fun night in the city, but unfortunately it ended with us coming home to a soaking couch...our neighbors airconditioning had leeked so our ceiling was dripping water on my precious IKEA coatch=(
